LOBBAN, Marion Charlotte (Amies)
At the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, December 10, 2021 in her 90th year, Marion Lobban, beloved wife of the late John Lobban.
Dear sister of the late Winifred Symington (Tom), the late Dorothy Buttenham (Don), and the late Margaret Page (Bob). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special aunt to Anne Summerhayes, the late John Symington (Rose Marie), Judy Masters (Richard), Ron Buttenham (Maryjane), Kathy Everingham (Terry), Mary Ellen Thorne (Gary), Nancy Dawdy (Les), Andrew Widdis (Shelley), Kristen MacKay (Dave), Craig Taylor (Julie), the late Sarah Irvine (Brian), Joe Egan (Kristin), Julia Ernewein (Steven), Taylor MacKay, Connor MacKay, Tammy Chute (Tim), Amy Curzon, Kim Taylor (Ben), Kevin Masters (Penny), Lisa Masters Smith (Jesse).
Marion worked for many years as a medical secretary to Dr. Hugh Johnston, ENT retiring in 1995.
Marion and John spent many happy summers at their cottage at Eagle Lake, making many friendships there. She will be missed by all her friends at Probus Club, St. John's Anglican Church, her Bridge Club and many other social activities.
Marion's greatest pleasures in life were her family and friends and she was always there for others helping in any way she could.
Family and friends may pay their respects at a Memorial Reception to celebrate Marion's life at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. (Covid restrictions require that those attending must show double vaccination and wear masks). As per Marion's wishes, her ashes will be spread at Eagle Lake sometime this summer. If wished, memorial donations to the Arnold Anderson Sports Fund or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
