Obituary of Paul Robert Mitchell
At the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, September 10, 2021 in his 90th year. Paul was the youngest of his family of six siblings, loving and devoted husband of Catherine Becker of 27 years and the late Jean Baran of 20 years. Loving father of Paula Mitchell (Dean Hough) , Andrea (Rino) Bidenti , Lisa (Marty) Ferras. Much loved grandfather of Jenna Owen (Ryan Lindsay), Anisa, Braedon Owen, Evan, Claire Bidenti, Mitchell, Keaton Ferras and great-grandfather of Carter Speelziek and Scarlet Lindsay. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Paul is predeceased by his siblings, Gordon (Alice), Peter (Josephine), Allan (Dolores) Mitchell,Dorothy (Jim) Quinlan, Norine (Edward) Ecker. Dear brother-in-law of Stella Neziol, Kathryn Baran, Ron and Betty Anne Becker and predeceased by the late John (Adele) Baran, Mitchell Baran, Leo Neziol.
Paul worked as a property assessor for the City of Brantford (18 years) and the Province of Ontario (23 years). He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Paris, Brantford and St. Cecilia Parish, Port Dover. Friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Covid protocol requires that masks are to be worn and social distancing is observed. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Parish, 9 Waverly St, Brantford on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. For those people unable to attend, the Mass will be live streamed from the church. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Stedman Community Hospice or the St. Pius X Parish gratefully appreciated.
