Brown, Catharine Marilyn ‘Cathy’
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Catharine (Cathy) Marilyn Brown (nee MacDonald), passed away on May 23, 2021 in her 85th year, at Stedman Community Hospice. Cathy, beloved wife of the late Steve Brown (2001), will be lovingly remembered and always missed by her children, Lynn and Chris Peters, Janice and Tim Crossman, Kim and Rich Dawdy, and Glenn and Heather Brown. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie (Chris Touchette), Bradley (Ambur) and Michelle Crossman, Sarah Peters, Kevin and Rachel Dawdy, Katharine, Eric, and Jenna Brown, and precious great grandsons, Cliff and Duncan Touchette. Cathy will also be dearly missed by her sister and brother-in-law, Laurine and Richard Madge, brother, Bruce MacDonald, and extended family and friends. Cathy was pre-deceased by her granddaughter, Laura Peters (2015), her parents, Clarence and Olive MacDonald, and her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Gordon Lamond. Growing up in Goderich, Ontario, family was always such an important part of her life. As a devoted wife, Mom, and Grandma, she lived a life full of love and we were all so blessed to be a part of her circle. The compassionate care she received at Stedman Community Hospice in the last months of her life was extraordinary and greatly appreciated by her family. Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a private family service with interment at Farringdon Burial Ground. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Kids Help Phone, Stedman Community Hospice, or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.mccleisterfuneralhome.ca
