“Well done thou good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of thy Lord.” Matt. 25:21KJV Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Long Term Care facility on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, Edwina Simpson (nee Boulter) born in Bexleyheath, Kent, England, now of Brantford, passed into the arms of her Lord and Saviour in her 109th year. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Dr. George Simpson (1997). Loving mother of Rosalind (George) Cole, and her late son Edwin (2011). Dear grandmother of Stephen (Tammy) Cole and Debbie (Jim) Thompson. Edwina was also a proud great-grandmother of Joshua & Aaron Cole, Olivia, Isaac & Lucas Thompson. She was pleased that Jose, Bonnie & Emily Flores and Tulliana Duiker called her grandma too. Edwina is survived by her sister-in-law Lillian Simpson of Lewannick, England along with many nieces and nephews in England and Australia. Predeceased by her parents Edmund & Beatrice Boulter and an infant sister Bessie Boulter. Edwina was a Pastor’s wife for many years both here in Brantford, and in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. In 1971 she became the Assistant Editor for the Atlantic Baptist Newspaper with her late husband in Nova Scotia. Upon retirement, they moved back to Brantford to be near family and attended Queensway Baptist Church for many years. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family across the globe. We want to express our sincere thanks to the staff on Magnolia Lane at St. Joe’s LTC for their professional and wonderful care given to Edwina during her stay there. A big thank you is also given to Dr. Scott Elliott for the care he has provided to her over the past 25+ years. A private visitation and service will be held at the McCleister Funeral Home on Monday, February 22, 2021. Due to Covid 19 restrictions masks and social distancing is required. Interment at Mt.
