Obituary of Charlene Maria Vandewiel
VANDEWIEL - Charlene Maria Charlene passed away on June.1st at Brantford General Hospital. Thankfully because of the incredible staff there, her daughters were able to be with her during her passing. She was surrounded by love and support. Also a personal thank you to Dr. Tozer and his team, Dr. Heller and her team for the years of care and attention Charlene was given. She appreciated you all. She was a fierce light, a warrior, who would never give up. Charlene had battled brain cancer, breast cancer, melanoma and these weren’t the extent of her health issues. She never complained, never said why me? Her struggles were hard and too real, but she stayed positive and continued with her determination to fight through it all for her daughters. Her quiet strength and honourable spirit kept the course. She would help the less fortunate, take in mistreated children, make food baskets at Christmas and offer to help you without blinking an eye, even if she just finished her usual 14 hour work day of working two jobs. Yet she would never ask anyone for help, she was humble, private and proud. Charlene was a gentle spirit with an intense drive and will which was, awe inspiring. So kind, so beautiful and such a positive influence in our lives. Her bubbly energy was infectious and will live on forever in our hearts. It was an honour to of had you in our lives. If more of us had her outlook on life, this world would be a much better place. We will meet again joyfully on the other side. Peepercha’s Charlenecha. Charlene is survived by her daughters, Asha and Raina Hartnell. And her sister Jolene Kaak (Joe Kaak) nieces, Mariah and Junelle Kaak. Charlene is reunited with her dad in heaven “Harry”. A trust account is in the process of being set up in Charlene's memory to benefit both Asha and Raina, by visiting any branch of the CIBC and depositing into account # 07772 8888299.
