Marjorie Meyers

Obituary of Marjorie Meyers

Marjorie Stella Meyers 1939-2020 Marjorie (Hiscock) Meyers was the ultimate ‘people person’: kind, caring, concerned about the needs and feelings of others, ready to help or to listen, and devoted to her family and friends with whom she liked nothing more than talking, visiting and enjoying simple pleasures. That’s why her passing on Monday January 27, 2020 – in her 81st year – is deeply felt by so many who will cherish memories of her smile, her laughter and her compassion. Marge was a hardworking employee (long-time RBC staff), a dedicated Anglican Church member and a Master Class Grandma. Although she lived in Toronto for most of her adult life, her birthplace - Champney’s West NFLD - was always home and where she and Fred spent many happy summers after retirement.Marge will be sadly missed by her husband Fredrick Meyers; her children Barbara Wright, Ronald (Laura) Meyers and Robert (Alison Bruce) Meyers; her grandchildren Dana, Trent, Bryan, Dellon and Brynn; her sister and brother-in-law Mary and Gord Ploughman and many other close relatives and wonderful friends. She is predeceased by her parents Abraham and Amy Hiscock and her brother George. The family will receive friends on Saturday February 8, 2020, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 155 Memorial Drive, Brantford. A service and reception will follow, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The family thanks the team at the John Noble Home for their care and support. Donations may be made in Marge’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of your choice.
