Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, Michael Neven passed into Glory on the evening of Saturday, May 4, 2019. Mike was a cherished husband to Sherry. A loving father to Matthew (Kate), Nicholas, Nathan (girlfriend Olivia), and Rachel. He eagerly anticipated being a Grandfather to Unborn Baby Neven (due Oct 2019). Mike was the dearest son of Aubrey & Tina Neven. Favoured Brother of Elaine (Willy) Vos, Cynthia (Art) Prisque, and Janice (Mike) Maas. A lovingly respected Son-in-law to Hans & Ena Pennings and esteemed Brother-in-law to Ken (Janna), Jeff (Christine), Paul (Lori-ann), Tanya, and Rob (Amanda) Pennings. Loved grandchild of oma Elizabeth Naves and grandma Nellie Pennings. “Favorite” uncle to 29 nieces and nephews and great uncle to Quinn Mikalya. Mike was 47 years old. He courageously dealt with brain cancer over the last 10 years. Mike testified of God’s salvation through grace. He was a reliable and respected friend and family member. We are thankful he is restored in Heaven with his faithful Saviour. We are grateful for the love and support of our School and Church families that have been the hands and feet of Jesus to us. “Because He lives, we can face tomorrow.” Family and friends will be received at the Providence Free Reformed Church, 269 St. George Road, St. George, Ontario on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Providence Free Reformed Church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at St. George Cemetery.
