Jamieson, Thirl Carson Sr. “Bill”
Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, Bill returned to his Father in Heaven on Sunday, May 6, 2018 in his 91st year. Loving father of Allan (MaryLea), Thirl, Rulon, Avarina, Traci-Lynn Jamieson. Beloved brother of Enid (Ron) Green. Bill will be greatly missed by his dearly loved grandchildren. He was a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews and leaves behind many caring relatives. Predeceased by his parents, Christopher and Marie Jamieson; his wife, Caroline Jamieson; his sisters, Leita Bodnar, Charlotte Taylor; his brothers, Harold (W.W. II), Alex, Rulon Jamieson; his grandsons James and Robert Jamieson. Bill signed up with the Royal Canadian Regiment as a rifleman to serve in the army. He graduated from Buffalo State College and was a long time employee of Masseys. Bill was an instructor at Fanshaw College, a medical services driver for the Six Nations Reserve; was a volunteer member on numerous boards. Bill enjoyed riding horses, swimming and diving. He was an exceptional athlete and an avid runner. He competed in the Senior Games for many years, winning awards for his strength and ability. Family and friends will be received to pay their respects at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 461 Park Road North, Brantford on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road North, Brantford, Ontario.
