Obituary of Ethel Duncan
DUNCAN, Ethel; Surrounded by the love of her family, our special “Ganer”, Ethel Rose (nee Meadowcroft) on April 29th 2018, in her 89th year, passed to be reunited with her beloved husband James (1997). Ethel was predeceased by her parents, Ethel (1991), and Harold Sr. (1994) and brother Harold Jr. “Sonny” (1983). Ethel will be greatly missed by Dureene Meadowcroft, sister-in-law Betty, son James Duncan (Terry), daughters Jay-Dee Webster (Jerry), and Allison Pellick (Bill). Loving and devoted “Ganer” to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ethel was a long-time member of the CAW Womens Auxiliary and an avid bowler in her youth. She loved sports, and many a day you would hear her yelling at the TV for a bad play. According to Ganer’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family celebration will be held at a later date. We would like to thank the superlative care given to mom by her family Doctor, Dr. Tamale, Lisa, VON Nurses especially Karen and Janet, PSW workers and the palliative care teams, Dr. Trevor, Dr. McNeil, nurses, Tracey and Shelley for their support during this difficult time. We would also like to thank McCleister Funeral Home for their services. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Ethel made to the Stedman Community Hospice would be gratefully appreciated. Special memories and condolences may be forwarded to the family through www.mccleisterfuneralhome.ca.
