Obituary of Ross Swinton
SWINTON, Ross Alexander – Passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on Sunday February 11, 2018 in his 86th year. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara; children Heather, (Ed), Kerri and Ian (Sue); Grandchildren Tina, Michelle, Aimee, Jason, Adam, Amanda, Nick and Jonny; seven great-grandchildren, and sister Dorothy O'Neill (Vince). He was predeceased by his twin sister, Margaret Church, (Jim). Ross was known to many in the community for his many memorable contributions to music and theatre, but will be best remembered for the unconditional love and loyalty he offered to his entire family. We will always miss and forever treasure his unique humour, his generous heart and his gentle soul. Ross' family would like to thank Dr. John Hadley and the caring staff at the Brantford General Hospital for the comfort and support provided to all over his final few days. Cremation has taken place. In accordance with his wishes, Ross' life will be remembered and celebrated in a private family gathering to be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Ross made to the charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.
